What will you do?

As Chef, you are ultimately responsible for the culinary standards and daily operation of the kitchen at Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire. Working with fresh, high-quality ingredients, you ensure that every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience.


You will lead the entire kitchen brigade, oversee the quality of all dishes, and continuously focus on innovation, cost control, and process optimization. Together with the F&B team, you will contribute to the further development of our culinary ambitions and overall guest experience.


This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with a preferred start date as soon as possible.


Your responsibilities include:

·        Developing, refining, and maintaining high-quality menus and dishes that align with the resort’s concept and quality standards.

·        Ensuring the taste, presentation, quality, and consistency of all dishes during every service.

·        Leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing the entire kitchen brigade.

·        Organizing staff schedules, task allocation, and the efficient execution of all kitchen operations.

·        Monitoring and optimizing the entire food preparation process, from mise en place to final service.

·        Ensuring compliance with HACCP standards, hygiene regulations, and food safety requirements.

·        Managing purchasing, inventory, and supplier relationships with a focus on quality, availability, and cost control.

·        Monitoring food costs, margins, and departmental budgets while minimizing waste.

·        Identifying culinary trends and market developments and translating them into innovative dishes and concepts.

·        Advising the F&B Manager on culinary strategy, product development, and commercial opportunities.

·        An experienced culinary professional with strong leadership skills.

·        Quality-focused with a keen eye for detail.

·        Highly organized and experienced in managing multiple processes simultaneously.

·        A coaching leader who motivates and develops team members.

·        Knowledgeable about HACCP regulations and food safety standards.
