Who are you?
Above all, you're a technical professional with a passion for engineering, maintenance, and building systems. You enjoy being hands-on with technical installations and maintenance while also motivating your team and successfully managing projects. You can easily switch between strategic planning and day-to-day operations, maintaining a clear overview even in a dynamic environment.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent working and thinking level).
A completed degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Facility Management, or a related technical field.
At least 5–8 years of relevant experience in maintenance, facilities management, building systems, or a similar technical environment.
Several years of experience in a leadership or management role.
Demonstrated experience with maintenance management, technical building installations, and coordinating technical projects.
What will you be doing?
As Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for the complete technical infrastructure of Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire. You ensure that all buildings, technical installations, equipment, and facilities operate safely, reliably, and at peak performance. From electrical and mechanical systems to water treatment, swimming pool technology, HVAC systems, and energy infrastructure, you maintain the overall overview and resolve technical challenges before they impact our guests.

This role requires a strong technical background. You are not only a manager but also a trusted technical expert for your team, external contractors, and suppliers. You have a solid understanding of building systems and technical installations, can analyze and troubleshoot complex issues, and develop preventive maintenance strategies that support operational continuity, sustainability, and cost efficiency.
In addition to overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations, you lead renovation projects, technical upgrades, and capital improvement initiatives. You manage project planning, quality, and budgets while ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with applicable safety regulations, industry standards, and quality requirements.
